Barangay Kamuning

About

The Kamuning neighborhood is located in Quezon City. There were 14,258 residents there as of the 2020 Census. In the bustling Kamuning neighborhood of Quezon City, Bernardo Park attracts families and young people with its playground, skating and bicycling paths, and the northern bank of Diliman Creek. This represents 0.48 percent of the city’s entire population. The distinctive boutiques in the area sell old items including furniture, music, and board games. There are fast food restaurants, lively bars, and artisanal bakeries on Kamuning Road and the nearby streets. Barrio Kamuning was formerly a part of Barrio Obrero, but by 1941, it was decided to change the name because the residents were government workers rather than laborers.

Before transferring the church to its current location, the locals initially set out to build their parish, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, where the first mass was said in a temporary chapel on an empty lot along Vice-Mayor Luis Sianghio Street.

The locals would construct what is now referred to as the Kamuning Public Market on the site of the first mass. The Kamuning Public Market today contains a wide variety of stalls selling native handicrafts and fabrics in addition to the usual wet and dry commodities. There are also several tailoring shops where customers may have clothing made from the textiles they buy at the market.

Suporta sa edukasyon ng kabataan sa pamamagitan ng scholarship programs, libreng school supplies, at pagsasagawa ng seminars at training para sa patuloy na pagkatuto.

— Pang-Kabuhayan

Pagtataguyod ng livelihood programs, skills training, at job fairs upang mabigyan ng mas maraming oportunidad ang mga residente para sa mas matatag na kabuhayan.

— Pang-Kalikasan

Pangangalaga sa kalikasan sa pamamagitan ng tree planting, waste segregation, at mga kampanya para sa tamang pangangasiwa ng basura at pangangalaga sa likas na yaman.

— Pang-Kalinisan

Pagpapanatili ng malinis at ligtas na kapaligiran sa pamamagitan ng regular na paglilinis ng kalsada, drainage maintenance, at mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng waste management ordinances.

— Peace & Order

Pagtitiyak ng seguridad ng barangay sa pamamagitan ng aktibong pakikipagtulungan sa pulisya, pagdadagdag ng mga CCTV, at pagpapatibay ng mga community watch programs.

— Public Safety

Pagpapatibay ng mga programang pangkaligtasan tulad ng traffic management, emergency response teams, at kampanya laban sa kriminalidad upang mapanatili ang kaayusan sa barangay.

— Disaster Preparedness & Mitigation

Pagsasanay sa mga residente sa disaster response, pagbibigay ng sapat na kagamitan para sa emergency, at pagpapatibay ng evacuation plans upang maging handa sa anumang sakuna.

— Sports Program

Pagsuporta sa mga atletang kabataan at pagpapalakas ng sports activities tulad ng liga ng basketball, volleyball, at iba pang paligsahan upang mapanatili ang kalusugan at pagkakaisa ng komunidad.
